Looking for cheap wedding ideas doesn’t mean sacrificing on the quality of your wedding. In fact it can definitely help you to have the wedding of your dreams by enabling you to know where to spend money as necessary, especially where skimping on costs could jeopardise your day, e.g. using a friend to take the photo’s, risking poor quality pictures (arms and heads cut off!) instead of investing in a professional photographer. Afterall these photos will be the lasting memory of your big day.
Having been a bride myself, I do totally understand that it’s your big day and you want it to be the most fabulous occasion possible, perfect in every way. However to avoid overspending on your wedding see below the following important first step and two great examples of cheap wedding ideas:
Plan a Budget Wedding
Set that all important wedding budget. Without some sort of overall idea of spend, things can quickly get out of hand with spiralling costs. By doing this there is less likelihood of still paying for the wedding after the grandchildren have arrived!
1. Create your own Wedding Invites
If you have a creative streak and are handy with the computer you can design your own wedding invitations, save to a computer file and take to an office supply shop for printing on the paper of your choice. It allows you to personalise them. Your guests will love their uniqueness and you’ll save money as well with this idea which is one of many cheap wedding tips.
2. Negotiate
Don’t just accept the first price given to you for services, shop around and see where you can strike a deal with the service provider. Nowadays businesses are competing for customers so bargains can be had if you simply “ask”.
Careful planning and being creative with cheap wedding ideas can be the perfect solution to help you into married life.
Do remember, it’s not about how much you spend on your wedding but the commitment you and your fiance have made to each other, don’t lose sight of that as you’re knee deep in wedding planning.

Wedding Speeches: A Quick Outline

Article by Tom Antion
Wedding speeches are reserved for the most important members of the wedding party and closest family and friends.
If you are one of the ones expected or asked to do a wedding speech, then preparing is a must. Winging it just won’t cut it especially when your wedding speech will be on video from now until eternity.
Wedding speeches should not last more than three or four minutes. It reminds me of that famous quote by John F. Kennedy,
“Public speaking is the art of diluting a two-minute idea with a two-hour vocabulary.”
It’s actually much harder to do a short wedding speech than a long one which reminds me of another quote,
“It usually takes me more than three weeks to prepare a good impromptu speech.” –Mark Twain
You have to have an opening and closing. You probably want to throw in a story and at least one piece of humor. And it all has to make sense. Please, please, please don’t apologize for how bad you are as soon as you stand up, which reminds me of yet another quote by Kin Hubbard,
“Why doesn’t the fellow who says, “I’m no speechmaker,” let it go at that instead of giving a demonstration?” hahaha I love that one.
Here’s a quick outline for a wedding speech:Note: each one of the bullet points below could have many variations
· Opening – Could be comments about the lovely affair· Comments about the bride and groom· Story about your interactions with the bride, groom or both.· Humor- Pick something that applies to them and is appropriate· Closing – Something touching· Toast – Brief and touching or funny
You’ll rarely be the hit of a wedding because of your wedding speech and rightfully so. The bride and groom are the stars. But poor preparation of your wedding speech certainly could make you the laughing stock.
Remember, you are going to perform your wedding speech live, but you’ll be on video forever. Take the time to prepare.

You have set the day for your wedding event. The plan is on its way, not to mention a pair of “to do” things quickly present themselves: the wedding gown & the perfect hairstyle. The proper hair do will be as essential as deciding on the proper custom made wedding dress. Significance should be attributed to how you style your locks and additionally your bridal gown, not to mention whether they accentuate one another to complete that great bridal appearance. The subsequent ideas can help any bride appear their best on their big day!Take one or two moments and think about your hair – it’s frequently best to work with everything that nature has endowed you with! If you’re getting hitched in a more typical back garden setting, search for less formal varieties like loose half-up dos.Since your custom-made wedding party dress and hair do should really be in balance keep a few hair clips with you so that while you’re trying out various dress styles you’ll be able to change the look of your own hairstyle. You more than likely wear your own locks in such a way that is at the same time comfortable and becoming. On ones own wedding day contemplate letting a professional hairstylist help you glam it up! Tips and Ideas for Cheap Wedding Invitations and Stationery

Article by Nicola Ray
There are loads of easy ways to save money on your wedding invitations and stationery. Below is each item of stationery and the best tips and tricks to cutting the cost of each.Save the day cardsOnce the date is set, many brides send out ´save the date´ cards. This card simply announces the engagement and requests the guest to save the date of the wedding in their diary. This is a very American tradition, but it is now becoming popular in the UK too. The best way to cut your cost here is to send an email! If your guests don’t have an email address, I can guarantee that your mother has already told all your relatives, so even Great Aunt Maud has the date of your wedding fixed in her head. Cheap wedding invitationsI firmly believe that one of the best ways to cut your costs here is to make your own wedding invitations. You can find plenty of ideas from looking at wedding magazines or wedding stationery suppliers. Creating your own wedding invitations will not only save you money, it will make your wedding more personal and unique. RSVP or acceptance cardsWhen sending out your invites, traditionally you send an RSVP card as well. In these modern times, it’s perfectly acceptable not to include this card at all. You can easily pop a postal address or email address for people to respond to. For my own wedding, we used an email address and it worked perfectly. Those who didn’t get back to us, we simply called up to double check they were coming. You’ll need to do this anyway, as not everyone will remember to send you back their RSVP. If you’re really keen on an RSVP card, try to use a postcard instead of a small card and envelope. This will reduce the amount of paper you need to buy as well as the cost of postage for sending out your invites. Another alternative is not to provide a stamped address envelope as a reply card. Let the guest buy the stamp! It will save you a few quid.Order of serviceOften the order of service is simply a plain piece of folded A4 paper. It’s easy to type and print out the information, so why have it printed professionally? If you wanted, you could always continue your theme on this piece of stationery too.Seating planA seating plan can easily be done on a computer as well. Just make sure you include everyone who is coming (I managed to miss one friend off. Luckily he took it lightly, so it wasn’t too embarrassing!)Table place cardsA hand-written place card for each guest is a cheap alternative to getting them printed as well. They’re very cheap to buy and most good stationers stock them in various colours. Thank you cardsThere are hundreds of thank you card designs in stationers and generally they’re reasonably priced. In most cases, once the big day is over, most of your guests are on to the next big wedding of the summer, so keeping to a theme is not so important. Your guests will be more concerned that you’ve recognised the fact that they bought you a gift, not that your card matches the rest of your stationery. If you’re still feeling creative, then you could make these as well to match your invites. The last word If you’re still dead-set on getting your wedding invitations and stationery professionally printed, make sure you follow the golden rules: – Set your budget and stick to it- Get three quotes and compare like with like- Get some extra printed, just in case of mistakes – reprints later will cost you much more- Perhaps limit the professionally printed pieces to only key pieces such as invites and RSVP cards only- Avoid fancy printing techniques such as embossing or metallic colours- Use second class postage

Wedding Flower Arrangement

Article by BaliRaniWedding
Flowers are an important part of the wedding ceremony and reception. There is just something about the reception centerpieces and ceremony arrangements which can turn an ordinary room into an extraordinary one. Varieties are selected for many reasons such as for the church, for the couple and bridal party as well as to decorate the reception location – such as wedding flower arrangements. This is why choosing the perfect flowers for the wedding is extremely important
Brides place much emphasis on the look, feel and style of their floral wedding theme including color, style and setting for reception decoration ideas. A symbol of grace and elegance at weddings and reflect the bride and grooms personal style is the set by the florist. Calla lillies, roses and other floral varieties are popular wedding flowers for centerpieces and bouquets as well as unique floral arrangements.
Choose the Right Color FlowerWedding flowers come in a wide array of different colors. From subtle pastels to vibrant pinks and reds, one can choose almost any type of color with regard to their floral arrangements. As well, both silk wedding flowers and fresh varieties are popular. With that said, it is important to choose a color scheme – bold or neutral for example – which is right for the bouquet or wedding flower arrangement. If one wishes to have a contemporary floral theme blend in nicely with everything else, choosing pastel floral grassy varieties and herbs might be best. On the other hand, if the couple wishes to have their wedding flowers be something of a focal point at the ceremony or reception, then perhaps vibrant and bright colors would be the best choice. It is important that the couple selects the right color scheme for their wedding.VolumeIt is also important to decide how many floral arrangements they would like at the ceremony and reception locations as well as how big the bouquets should be. This too will depend on a few different factors. Things such as desired price range, floral focal points and personal preference will all determine the volume which should be ordered and should be discussed with the wedding planner and floristWedding Flower TypesThose who are purchasing for the big day should also consider various types that they can add to their bouquets and arrangements. This is an especially important aspect for those individuals who wish to have a particular type of flower in their ensembles. Including one special type of flower might just make all the difference in the world to the future bride and groom.Price RangeOne should also be aware of the fact that wedding flowers are by no means inexpensive. However, it is possible to choose items which are more tuned to an individual’s budget than others may be. It is important to have a specific price range in mind when it comes to ordering flowers for weddings as this will help to determine how many can be ordered, where they will be situated, how big each of them will be and what types the arrangements and bouquets will be comprised of as a whole. For example, one who is on a strict floral budget may not wish to order roses in their bouquets and arrangements as this will increase the price of the flowers greatly. Keep in mind that silk wedding flowers are often less expensive, depending on where you source them.Wedding flowers are a wonderful addition to any type of wedding. From casual to elegant, floral themes and design do so much to add to a setting and make the day even that much more special. It is important to choose an arrangement with items such as color scheme, variety and price range in mind. This will help to ensure that the proper items are chosen for the special occasion.

Fall Wedding Centerpieces – Top Ideas
April 29, 2011 by admin

Article by Lise Rina
Weddings are so special and what better time of year to celebrate than in the fall when everything is crisp and colorful. You can use the fall as part of your wedding theme and incorporate elements into your decor. One such place you can start off with is fall wedding centerpieces. There are hundreds of ideas you can choose from and plenty more you can make up on your own.
The centerpieces of the reception tables are very important as they are the first things that people see when they enter and give the whole room a specific ambiance. Choosing from the various fall wedding centerpieces can be quite a challenge as there are so many different ideas. Here are just a few:
Colors of the Fall
The fall colors are stunning with gold, red, orange, yellow, and bronzes all coming into play. When you create the centerpieces you can use all of these colors in the flowers, ribbon and other decor. You can even make your fall wedding favors part of your centerpieces. For example you could decorate with incense sticks all the way around it, or use candles. Be creative with your centerpieces. Spray leaves and twigs in gold and arrange along with red and orange flowers.
Hanging Centerpieces
A simple, but very effective idea is to use hanging baskets, perhaps wicker, to create a more rustic feel. These can be assembled with flowers, berries and nuts, as well as twigs etc and suspended above each table. This is great because guests are actually able to talk to each other easily. You can decorate the underside of the baskets by spraying them gold or bronze, wrapping fairy lights around them or using organza ribbon.
Tall Centerpieces
If you want something more modern and simple, then you could go for tall centerpieces. These will be narrow so they take up little space on the table. You could use long twigs or twisted sticks sprayed in whichever colors you like, and place them into a long glass vase. Place this onto a mirror tile and stand a candle on it next to the vase. On the other side you can place a large flower head or perhaps and small bunch lying loosely. You might also choose to use three candles which can be bound together with twine.
Autumn Leaves
This may see a bit too obvious, but if you have good ideas you can make sure that it is not boring. Using leaves is fun and you can spray them all the fall colors in shimmery shades. Once you have hardened them you can place loosely inside a fat glass vase. On the top you can place a layer of short flower heads of whichever flower you like. You could use twigs out of the center if you like, or you can also use hanging flowers for a more romantic touch.
Well, there you have just a tiny portion of the ideas for fall wedding centerpieces. There are tons more that you can find online, or you can get creative and design some yourself. Use your favorite parts of fall, or incorporate something personal into the centerpieces.
Most of all have fun planning your fall wedding and remember that nothing is a bad idea as long as you love it.
